FAQs for a Maternity Photoshoot Session
  1. When is the best time to book a maternity photoshoot? Do we need to pay any booking amount?

     

    We recommend booking your session during pregnancy—preferably around the 6th month to ensure availability and plan the perfect setup for you. However, if you wish to book specific dates or weekends, kindly inform us at the earliest, as some dates/weekends can be booked out a month or two in advance. All bookings are confirmed upon payment of Rs. 1000.
  1. What is the best time for the Maternity Session?

Maternity is best done between 30 to 35th weeks of Pregnancy.

  1. Where will the photoshoot take place?

We have two fully equipped studios — one located in Ludhiana and another in Chandigarh. You can choose the studio that’s most convenient for you and book your slot accordingly. In special cases, we also offer in-home lifestyle sessions for families who prefer the comfort of their own space. Home sessions are available at a minimal additional cost, depending on the location. Please contact us in advance for availability and package details.

  1. Do I need to get my makeup done before the maternity photoshoot, or can it be arranged at the studio?

You’re welcome to get your makeup done by your own artist, or we can arrange it for you at our studio. We work with a professional freelance makeup artist who specializes in maternity looks. The makeup service is available at an additional cost of ₹2,500 per session.

If you choose to avail this service, please plan to arrive at the studio at least one hour before your scheduled shoot time so we can coordinate the makeup and photography seamlessly.

  1. How can I choose dresses from your wardrobe?

Yes, we have a wide range of outfits available in our studio wardrobe. You can select dresses based on your package inclusions and the number of looks included. Please contact us in advance to view our dress portfolio and make your selections before the session.

  1. What kind of clothes should the partner or elder sibling wear for the photoshoot?

We recommend wearing light, solid-colored outfits that complement the soft and timeless feel of the photos. Shades like white, cream, beige, peach, pastel blue, or light-yellow work beautifully on camera. It’s best to avoid bold prints or busy patterns, as they can distract from the natural expressions that make your photos truly special.

  1. How long does a maternity photoshoot session take?
    A typical session lasts 2 to 4 hours, depending on the mother’s comfort and the number of setups planned.
  1. Do you provide all the props and outfits?
    Yes! We have a wide collection of maternity props, tiara, headbands, and themed outfits.
  1. Can we choose our own themes or concepts?
    Yes! We encourage parents to share their ideas or Pinterest inspirations. We love creating custom themes that reflect your story.
  1. When will we receive the edited photos?
    Edited images are usually delivered within 20 working days from the date of your final photo selection. Once you’ve made your selections, our team begins the detailed editing and customization process to ensure the best possible results. Delivery time may vary slightly based on the package and level of customization.
  1. Can we get both printed albums and digital files?
    Yes! We offer high-resolution digital images, premium printed albums, and wall frames as part of our package options. We usually delivered within 20 working days from the date of your final photo selection. Additionally, we provide a pen drive containing all your raw data.
  1. What happens if we need to reschedule?
    We understand new to be parents’ schedules can change — just inform us at least 48 hours in advance, and we will help you reschedule easily without any extra charges.
  1. How long do you keep the raw data?

We securely store your raw data for up to six months from the date of your session. We request clients to share their final photo selections within this period, as we cannot guarantee data availability beyond six months.

Additionally, we provide a pen drive containing all your raw data, ensuring that you already have a personal backup of your session files. While we take utmost care in maintaining our data, please note that our storage period is subject to hardware functionality and technical conditions, and we cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen data loss beyond this duration.

  1. What happens if I arrive late for my session?

We understand delays can happen — especially with to be mothers — so we allow a 30-minute buffer. However, since our schedule is time-bound, late arrivals beyond this period may lead to a shortened session or rescheduling the pending shoot to the next available slot. We appreciate your understanding in helping us maintain a smooth experience for all clients.

  • The booking amount of Rs 1000 is non-refundable
  • Booking amount is transferable for a postponed/rescheduled shoot if notified a week in advance
  • Full payment is to be made on the day of the shoot
  • All packages include Mother outfits as per the package inclusions
  • Prices are subject to the change and non-negotiable
  • Elaborate theme decorations including balloons, fresh flowers, cakes to be paid by the client
  • All images remain the property of Birth Moment Studio and may be used for portfolio or promotional purposes. Clients who wish to retain exclusive rights to their images can opt for full copyright ownership at an additional fee of ₹5,000 per session.
